This is a personal photography website that i developed using wordpress. This is my first site that i have built using wordpress and i wanted to showcase some of my personal photography skills.
The challenge that I had when making this website was understanding the process of adding content and getting it too look the way that I want.
This is a prototype website that I developed in anticipation of making a final more revised version at a later date that would go live. In this prototype I used bootstrap as a framework for the site so that the client could get a rough idea of the concepts that we had discussed according to the look and feel as well how the content was layed out.
At the time back in term 2 I really struggled with this project as I didn't have a clear understanding of how bootstrap worked or how to customize the appearance of the website a great deal which is why it doesn't have a lot of custom css. I'm showing this site as a demonstration of where I was compared to where I am now and that even though I struggled with this project I have since learned from these mistakes
This is the final version of the Built By Light website. This site was developed in a group of three, a designer, a developer, and a project manager. Of the three I was the project manager, it was my job to deal with the communication between the client and the rest of the team. The goal that we wanted when making the website is that the client would be able to add new projects and adjust the website in any way that he feels is neccessary. To do this we created the website using Wordpress and creating a client login so that he would be able to change things. After the site went live and the project was over I am the one who will handle any major changes or maintenance that will be needed
This project was a unique experience it allowed me to get a rough idea of how development teams make websites for their clients. It also allowed me to appreciate how important communication between team members and clients is by far one of the most important keys for a successful project.
